What we store about you

When you create an account we store your first name, last name, email address, company name, organisation number (for Norwegian companies) and country. Norwegian company names are retrieved from the Central Coordinating Register for Legal Entities (Brønnøysund). We log logins with IP address to protect your account.

Why

The information is used to deliver the service, send you your login and service messages, invoice you and protect against abuse. The legal basis is our contract with you and our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure.

Where the data is stored

All data – your account, your websites and the backups – is stored in Norwegian data centres that we operate ourselves, inside the EEA. We do not use third-party analytics on wp24.io, and we only set the cookies required for logging in.

Your websites

For personal data on the websites you host with us, you are the controller and we are the processor. The statistics in the control panel are generated from server logs on our own servers and are not shared with anyone.

How long

Account information is kept while you are a customer. Backups are deleted after the retention period (up to 12 months). Login logs are deleted after 90 days.

Your rights

You can request access, correction and deletion, and you can complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet) or the authority in your own country. Contact us through the contact form.
